Concert pictures and outfit post!

Hello everyone! So last week Anjali and I attended an amazing concert! We went see one of our favorite bands, New Politics at the Bowery Ballroom in Manhattan, NY. Their opening acts were Sleeper Agent and Magic Man who were fantastic as well!If you know us then you probably know that we absolutely love going to concerts, especially ones in smaller venues! There's just something different when you are standing closer to the artists than if you were in a large arena. I personally think if you go to a large arena where you can't even see the artist(s) performing, then you might was well just stay at home and listen to the music on your iPod. That feeling you get when you're face to face with the artist is unlike any other. They make eye contact with you and interact with you; it's just an incredible feeling. Concerts overall are so much fun. I love the fact that you can enjoy them with strangers who love the artist just as much as you, and passionately sing along with them. There's only so much I can explain in words about going to concerts, I hope this inspires people to go and enjoy some great live music!

Here are some of the pictures from the concert!

Concert Outfit

If anyone is planning to go to a concert and needs a few tips on what sort of outfit to wear, then here are a few pictures of what Anjali and I had worn! Yes, sometimes we like to match. Both of us wore these flannel shirts with black skinny jeans. We finished the look off with simple chain necklaces. One thing to keep in mind when going to a concert (especially if you know that you will be standing the whole time) is to wear comfortable shoes. AKA avoid heels! Another thing is to dress comfortably, as you will be jumping and dancing and surrounded by a lot of people. Last thing is remember to have a blast! Jump, dance, sing and just enjoy the music and forget about all of your worries!

Flannel shirts: Forever 21
Jeans: H&M

Photography: adventures in the snow

As we all know, yesterday was probably the biggest winter storm we've had this season. Even Rutgers decided to cancel class! Crazy right? (my fellow Rutgers people will know what I mean) Anyways, with plenty of hours in the day still left ahead of me I decided to use my time productively (kind of). I haven't gotten a chance to properly relax and have some me-time with the chaos of the start of the new semester, so it felt great to just breathe and do something I really enjoy, which is taking pictures. After many months without using my SLR I finally took it off of my shelf and went for a little walk with my sister, Krishna. We didn't venture too far; just a street or two away from our house. We discovered an empty road free of cars and decided to take advantage of it. That's where I got on the ground in the middle of the road ~cause yolo~ and snapped the second picture. It's my favorite! Soon after that, we came back and I took some pictures of the branches and leaves that were covered in snow in front of my house. It was quite relaxing and I'm pretty proud of some of the photos I got.

That being said, I'm SO over winter. ~let me just be a negative nancy real quick~ I really dislike winter and everything that comes along with it. Sure, you get some great pictures but to me, the cons of winter outweigh the pros. I'm so sick of feeling uncomfortably cold and layering clothes. Looking good while trying to avoid hypothermia is not an easy task. Not only that, but I'm one of those unfortunate souls who has really dry skin, making it even dryer in the winter months. I'm craving sunshine and warmth. Who's with me?! Only a few more months, right?

I hope you're all doing well and keeping warm!
