Thank you Sun.

We all know the Sun is a star, a star that centers our solar system. The sun is the force that sustains life on our planet Earth. When you start to introspect and think about the origins of life the first thing that comes to mind is, how did life begin? There are still many unsolved mysteries about this but one thing is for sure, and that is the presence of our Sun. The Sun is the ultimate driving force for all forms of life on this planet and the life of the planet its self. From everything to the size, location and the chemical composition of the sun is perfect, any other combination and we would not be here today and I would not be sitting here writing this.
My inspiration for this post came from the thought of being thankful and grateful. I wanted to talk about something that everyone can be grateful for and the first that came to my mind was the Sun. What I appreciate most about the Sun is its mere presence. Think about it, on days when the sun is shining you feel genuinely happy, and on days when it’s cloudy and gloomy we feel a little down. Sure the rain is enjoyable but there is just something about the sun; feeling its warmth on your face is one of the most rejuvenating feelings in the world.
If you can’t think of anything else to be grateful for, be grateful for the Sun. Life goes on, we live each day trying to complete our daily tasks, it may be going to school, going to work or anything else that we are doing to survive, but one thing that is constant in our lifetime is the Sun. Each day the Sun will rise and it will set no matter what we do in between. Thank you to our Sun for making it possible for us to exist, without you we would not be here.

Here are a few pictures that I have taken throughout these past few years. Of course these pictures will not do justice to its beauty; witnessing the sunrise and sunset in person is incomparable.

The morning started off with us opening presents with family.

We spent the rest of the morning baking yummy sugar cookies.

Art/Makeup: Spring Lip Product Swatches!

Hello everyone and welcome back to our blog! Today we decided to do something a little unique and fun. Spring is finally here, which means it's time to bring out all your bright lip colors! A bright lip can be perfect for those days when you don't want to put much effort into your makeup. It can be paired with light face makeup and adds that perfect pop of color.

We put a slight twist on how to show product swatches; instead of showing you how they look on ourselves, we used our own lips to stamp our personal print onto small white canvas squares. This can be used as a way to display all of your lip products and can also easily be turned into a great retro wall piece for home decor!

MAC Cosmetics: Girl About Town

OCC Lip Tar: Queen

YSL: Glossy Lip Stain #14 - Fuchsia Dore

MAC Cosmetics: Lady Danger

MAC Cosmetics: RiRi Woo

OCC Lip Tar: Harlot

NARS Satin Lip Pencil: Luxembourg

Thanks for tuning in once again and we hope you all enjoyed this fun spring inspired post! I don't know about you guys, but we can't wait to rock these bright shades this spring/summer!

Concert pictures and outfit post!

Hello everyone! So last week Anjali and I attended an amazing concert! We went see one of our favorite bands, New Politics at the Bowery Ballroom in Manhattan, NY. Their opening acts were Sleeper Agent and Magic Man who were fantastic as well!If you know us then you probably know that we absolutely love going to concerts, especially ones in smaller venues! There's just something different when you are standing closer to the artists than if you were in a large arena. I personally think if you go to a large arena where you can't even see the artist(s) performing, then you might was well just stay at home and listen to the music on your iPod. That feeling you get when you're face to face with the artist is unlike any other. They make eye contact with you and interact with you; it's just an incredible feeling. Concerts overall are so much fun. I love the fact that you can enjoy them with strangers who love the artist just as much as you, and passionately sing along with them. There's only so much I can explain in words about going to concerts, I hope this inspires people to go and enjoy some great live music!

Here are some of the pictures from the concert!

Concert Outfit

If anyone is planning to go to a concert and needs a few tips on what sort of outfit to wear, then here are a few pictures of what Anjali and I had worn! Yes, sometimes we like to match. Both of us wore these flannel shirts with black skinny jeans. We finished the look off with simple chain necklaces. One thing to keep in mind when going to a concert (especially if you know that you will be standing the whole time) is to wear comfortable shoes. AKA avoid heels! Another thing is to dress comfortably, as you will be jumping and dancing and surrounded by a lot of people. Last thing is remember to have a blast! Jump, dance, sing and just enjoy the music and forget about all of your worries!
